18-year-old succumbs to injuries after two-vehicle crash in Abbotsford

An 18-year-old woman involved in a tragic two-vehicle collision in Abbotsford has succumbed to her injuries.

The incident took place on Thursday, July 5 at 12:02 pm. Abbotsford Emergency Services quickly responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision involving a Dodge Ram pick-up truck and a Toyota Camry.

The collision took place at the Intersection of Mt Lehman Road and Autmall Drive.

When emergency services arrived on the scene, an injured 18-year-old female passenger was found in the Toyota Camry.

She was transported to the hospital, however, she has succumbed to her injuries.

The drivers of the two vehicles, a 32-year-old (who drove the pick-up truck) and a 17-year-old (who drove the Toyota Camry) both remained on scene and are said to be cooperating fully with investigators.

At this point, Abbotsford Police Department patrol officers, General Investigation Officers, and a Collision Reconstructionist are continuing to investigate.

Abbotsford Police comment that the name of the victim will not be released at this time and they offer their “condolences to the family and friends of the young lady killed in this tragic accident.”
