Productions in Vancouver start their Christmas hiatus this week but most return to work the week of January 5. On top of returning productions, a few large features begin shooting in 2014. Here’s a breakdown of what you can expect to see on your Vancouver streets in 2014!

Film productions:

Fifty Shades of Grey returns from Christmas to finish its shoot by February 20. The film stars Irish heartthrob Jamie Dornan and Melanie Griffith’s daughter Dakota Johnson.

The George Clooney feature Tomorrowland is almost complete; Clooney will be leaving Vancouver just in time for awards kickoff, January 15.

Starting January 20, the much anticipated live action feature Warcraft will start shooting. Starring Viking’s Travis Fimmel and Mrs. Robin Thicke, Paula Patton, the film is expected to shoot a lot in studio.

On February 1, Ben Stiller returns to Vancouver to film Night at the Museum 3. Returning for this film are Robin Williams and Downton Abbey’s Dan Stevens.

In March, Blake Lively will return to Vancouver to film The Age of Adaline. Seeing as her husband is a local boy, you can bet on Ryan Reynolds being in town to support his wife.

TV productions:

Arrow season 2 returns in January to finish its second season on April 17, 2014.

Once Upon A Time season 3 will be back in January to finish April 3.

CW newcomer The Tomorrow People recently had its premiere season extended to shoot until April 7.

Acclaimed film director M. Night Shyamalan’s first foray into television, Wayward Pines, starring Matt Dillon and Juliette Lewis, will wrap up filming of its first season on February 20.

Supernatural, now in its ninth season, will continue using Vancouver backroads to portray all over the United States until April 24.

The Steven Spielberg sci-fi hit Falling Skies is almost finished filming its fourth season, and wraps production on February 11.

The SyFy show that has Vancouver actually portraying Vancouver, Continuum starring Rachel Nichols, is currently filming its third season until April 11.
