Travis Vagner: Airbrush artist

If you’ve noticed some elaborate masterpieces around the Lower Mainland, you may be witnessing some of Travis Vagner’s work.

Travis Vagner is a local artist that creates murals and canvas works including a number for various charities. Some local murals that Travis has created are a large Jungle Book themed mural at the Children’s Hospital,  a mural at an elementary school in tribute to a beloved teacher that had passed away, and a portrait on canvas of a teenager with her father who was killed in 2009 as an innocent bystander in a high profile case.

With each charitable piece that Travis created, the project turned into a webisode series highlighting the various trials and tribulations faced by the artist. The stories ranged from a teenage daughter desperately wanting a portrait with her deceased father to a couple of kids with daily struggles who could use a superhero room. The stories kept flooding in, and once Vagner began filming his work, a series was eventually developed called Trials and Tribulations with Travis Vagner.

On top of the series, Travis is attempting to paint a massive 30ft x 50ft canvas that is to be pieced off into 569 separate canvases that is to be shared by others. Everything from the conception and design to the building of the frames and the airbrushing of the canvasses will be filmed. The “pieces of the puzzle” will come in various sizes available for purchase. In order to fund the project, Travis has developed a Kickstarter Project.

Imagine a one-of-a-kind painting hanging in your home while the rest of its “family” is hanging on walls around the world!  Such a unique experience!
