TransLink unveils its colourful and retro 2025 Pride bus

Pride season is upon us, and it’s that time of year again when a particularly colourful TransLink bus rolls down the streets of Vancouver.
TransLink has unveiled its Pride bus for 2025, just in time for the weekend’s Vancouver Pride festivities, climaxing with the Vancouver Pride Parade on Sunday, Aug. 3.

The special bus features a playful and retro rainbow design created in-house at TransLink, complete with 16-bit unicorns and a giant “Ride With Pride” text. The PrideBus artwork also includes bees as tribute to late local artist and 2SLGBTQIA+ advocate Joe Average.
The Pride Bus will be seen on the Vancouver Pride Parade route as a part of the public transit authority’s marching delegation.
“Participating in the Pride Parade is a meaningful tradition for TransLink, and we’re proud to show our support for the 2SLGBTQIA+ communities once again,” said TransLink CEO Kevin Quinn in a release.
“I encourage our customers to take transit as the safe, efficient, and reliable way to get to and from the Pride Festival.”

The bus will be seen on the streets of Metro Vancouver through the end of summer as part of its regular operations on bus routes.
This continues an annual TransLink tradition that has coincided with the Vancouver Pride festivities since 2019.
The parade will start at 1 p.m. with over 160 vibrant parade entries planned, including entertaining performers, community floats, and more. There will also be emcee hosts at BC Place and the University Canada West Plaza.
