Metro Vancouver public transit passengers can now bring a little TransLink branding home with their morning coffee or afternoon tea.

TransLink has partnered with Vancouver-based Trees Organic Coffee & Cheesecake to release two limited-edition products featuring public transit-themed packaging.

The “Travelling through Taste” collection includes whole coffee beans from Costa Rica and an organic, caffeine-free raspberry peach loose-leaf tea. Both are now available at all 17 Trees locations across Metro Vancouver while supplies last.

The Costa Rica Aquiares Entre Rios coffee is described as a smooth blend with caramel and milk chocolate notes. It is priced at $16.99 per bag.

The raspberry peach tea, featuring a mix of fruit flavours, is being sold for $24.99 per bag.

TransLink notes that the partnership is part of its growing ancillary commercial revenue strategy, which seeks to generate additional revenue for the public transit authority through retail collaborations, advertising, and other branded customer experiences.

Such a collaboration creates new non-fare revenue sources and engages with public transit riders.

“We’re always looking for innovative ways to create value for our customers and the communities we serve,” said TransLink CEO Kevin Quinn in a statement today.

“Partnerships like this really show how we’re thinking differently about our business, while working with local companies to generate new revenue and help support the transit system for the future.”

Trees already has a strong connection to Metro Vancouver’s public transit network, with eight of its cafes located at or next to SkyTrain stations.

This includes a recently opened location within a retail unit built inside the Canada Line’s new Capstan Station.

Two more locations are expected to open soon inside the new underground entrance corridor between the new Oakridge Park mall and the Canada Line’s Oakridge-41st Avenue Station and at the Expo Line’s Braid Station in New Westminster.

The cafe chain was founded in Vancouver in 1996 and is marking its 30th anniversary this year. It now operates a mix of corporate and franchised locations across the region.

In 2025, TransLink similarly partnered with Port Coquitlam’s Patina Brewing Co. to create a limited-edition line of public transit-themed craft beer products.
