TransLink is hiring a bunch of new bus drivers and it pays up to $40+ an hour

TransLink has opened up hiring for new bus drivers in Metro Vancouver, and the variety of benefits and competitive wages could kick your career into high gear.
Coast Mountain Bus Company (CMBC) has posted an open call for Conventional Bus Operators, with applications accepted until April 13, 2025.
The Transit Operator Trainee (Bus Driver) is responsible for driving a variety of vehicles on routes throughout the city.

“Over 900,000 passengers rely on Coast Mountain Bus Company every day to get them to work, school, and all of the activities that make life on the Lower Mainland so rich and exciting,” said CMBC online. “Our more than 5,400 dedicated employees keep the buses, the people and in so many ways the vibrant pace of this city moving.”
Wages for conventional bus operators start at $29.20 and can rise to $41.72 with a work schedule of 37.5 hours a week.
Benefits include medical and dental coverage, paid vacation, a free transit pass, and paid training.

All Conventional Bus Operator applicants will receive a link to mandatory screening questions from Coast Mountain Bus Company.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in a written assessment, and those who pass will be contacted for an in-person interview.
