If you’re looking for jobs that’ll let you balance family and work, you have plenty of options in this year’s list of Canada’s Top Family-Friendly Employers.
The annual list was announced on Wednesday by Mediacorp Canada Inc., the organizers of the Canada’s Top 100 Employers project. Several B.C. companies were highlighted.
“Almost three-quarters of this year’s Canada’s Top 100 Employers applicants now offer some level of maternity or parental leave,” said Kristina Leung, managing editor at Mediacorp, in a release.
“To distinguish themselves, employers are offering a wider range of family-friendly benefits. From assistance with adoption and IVF to flexibility in allowing employees to take care of family obligations in work hours, we see employers extending their family-friendly benefits beyond just the traditional maternity and parental leave top-up pay.”

Canada’s Top Family-Friendly Employers list also highlights the creative policies that allow employees to balance their jobs and family obligations.
“This year’s winners have expanded their benefits to include flexible working arrangements, eldercare resources, and well-organized programs that reflect the range of needs by modern families,” Leung added. “These programs are designed to provide relief to employees who may face multiple demands on their time from family, besides their work responsibilities.”
This is the 24th year for the competition, which recognizes employers in terms of the family-friendly programs and initiatives they’ve implemented for their employees.
If you’re a new parent searching for jobs that’ll alleviate the stress of a growing family, one of these employers might be perfect for you.
