Multiple bus detours due to demonstration at Cambie and Broadway: TransLink
With the intersection of Broadway and Cambie Street in Vancouver currently closed down in all directions by demonstrators in support of Wet’suwet’en, TransLink is now advising passengers of numerous bus detours in the area, as a result.
In an email, the transit authority said that among the bus routes experiencing delays and detours is the 99 B-Line which “is experiencing delays up to 70 minutes” due to the demonstration.
TransLink also tweeted that a number of other routes were affected, as well:

Vancouver Police are advising drivers to avoid the area, as drivers are not able to get through while Wet’suwet’en supports line all four sides of the intersection.

The demonstration is the latest in a series of actions across the country supporting Wet’suwet’en land defenders as the RCMP removes them from a pipeline construction route in northern BC.
Earlier today, supporters blocked all entrances to the BC Legislature ahead of today’s Throne Speech.
