The roads impacted by the repairs are high-traffic areas near Science World and Main Street Science World SkyTrain station.
According to the city’s website, it has been conducting emergency sewer main repairs on Terminal Avenue after a leak occurred between Quebec and Main Streets in June 2024.
“Crews began investigation and repair work in late October. They first excavated around the leak locations to assess the damaged pipe, determine the extent of repairs needed, and fix the pipe,” stated the city.
“This work is expected to take several months, and possibly longer, depending on the scale of repairs. Pumper trucks may be used temporarily to assist with the excavations.”
Be sure to plan ahead during these repairs and utilize the SkyTrain if possible.
