The former Toys “R” Us space at Willowbrook Shopping Centre is set to be converted into Langley’s first T&T Supermarket.
Mall owner Quadreal Property Group says this will be a 40,000-sq-ft location for the chain of Asian grocery stores, which is known for its wide variety of Asian goods, as well as its in-house bakery, Asian deli, sushi, and Chinese BBQ departments.
The new store location for the Loblaws-owned chain is slated to open in Fall 2021.

T&T Supermarket currently has a dozen locations in the region, including new locations over the past two years at Lansdowne Centre in Richmond, and Kensington Gardens in East Vancouver.
For years, Willowbrook Shopping Centre has been experiencing a reconfiguration and expansion, catalyzed by the closure of Sears and the relocation of the Toys “R” Us store to the former Target store space.
The wing previously occupied by Sears has been converted into spaces for two discount clothing retailers — Winners and Nordstrom Rack.
Winners opened last month, while the opening of Metro Vancouver’s first Nordstrom Rack, a 30,000-sqft location, was originally scheduled for April 23. Due to COVID-19, Nordstrom Rack’s opening was delayed, and will open sometime in Fall 2020 instead.
