The city of Toronto comes alive and is absolutely abuzz with excitement and energy during the Toronto International Film Festival.
This year marks the 40th Anniversary of TIFF. The event is bigger and better than ever with over 6,000 submissions (of which 399 films made the cut) and more than 200 world premieres.
The world-renowned festival this year is bringing in over 70 countries of the top filmmakers, directors, producers and A-list stars. This year the major red carpets were especially a thrill with the inclusion of the star-studded sci-fi film The Martian starring Matt Damon and Jessica Chastain; the American drama Spotlight staring Canadian darling Rachel McAdams; and the highly-anticipated Boston crime thriller Black Mass with Johnny Depp and Benedict Cumberbatch.
