North Vancouver's The Portly Chef has closed its doors

Much-loved North Vancouver bistro The Portly Chef has closed after eight years of operation.

The 1211 Lonsdale Avenue restaurant was a popular neighbourhood haunt among locals and visitors alike.

Known for its elevated comfort classics and weekend brunch, the eatery had been open to the public since 2012.

The restaurant’s last Instagram post announced its final service would be on January 26. The announcement was accompanied by a heartfelt thank you to the community, customers, and staff.
