The Thanksgiving long weekend is almost upon us, and we’re ready to sit back and enjoy quality time with friends and family.

However, in case you need to run a last-minute errand before your feast, we’ve rounded up what’s open and closed in Vancouver, so you’ll know exactly where to go!

Just be sure to get your turkey in the oven in time before running out the door.

Public schools from K-12 will be closed for the statutory holiday.

TransLink

TransLink buses, SeaBus, and SkyTrain services will continue to operate on a Sunday/holiday schedule.

Holiday fares will be in effect, so commuters will only need a 1-Zone fare to travel across all zones. However, the West Coast Express will not be running.

TransLink Customer Service Centre, Access Transit Customer Care Office, and Lost Property Office will be closed.

Community centres

Hours will vary depending on the community centre. Check the holiday hours online.

Other places that are closed

  • Government offices like Canada Post and City Hall
  • Banks
  • ICBC
  • Public libraries will be closed on Thanksgiving, except for the Carnegie Branch, which does not close.
