The vehicle of a 17-year-old Abbotsford street racer has been impounded again for the second time in just two weeks.

According to RCMP, the teenager was driving his Chrysler 300 on Sunday evening at speeds of 133 kilometres per hour – more than twice than the 60 kilometres per hour limit. The car will be impounded for a period of seven days.

However, It appears the teenager involved did not learn from his mistakes and could face tougher punishment.

This comes after a previous incident in mid-April when he was among a group of six underage street racers who were caught speeding and had their vehicles impounded.

During that first incident, two cars would block traffic at anytime in order to provide the four other cars the capability to race each other on the highway. They were subsequently fined $368 each, and their cars were impounded for a week.
