Taylormania has touched down in Vancouver, and residents, commuters, and Swifties alike are being warned that traffic will be severely impacted this weekend.
Taylor Swift’s highly anticipated Eras Tour will be held at BC Place from December 6 to 8, and over 160,000 fans are expected to attend the show.
While there areĀ plenty of activities for Swifites to enjoy before the concerts, several major road closures will be in place to accommodate all of the fans during the events.

“With thousands of Swifties expected to attend the final three concerts, BC Place is working with partners including the City of Vancouver, Vancouver Police Department (VPD), and TransLink to create a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone,” said the City in a release.
The City of Vancouver announced that BC Place and its surrounding areas will be strictly limited to ticket holders. Fencing will be erected around the stadium’s perimeter throughout the concert dates, and attendees will need to pass through multiple checkpoints and a metal detector before entering.

BC Place explained that overnight camping is strictly prohibited, and ticketholders are not permitted to line up before 3:30 pm on show days.
Doors open at 4:30 pm each day with the show slated to begin at 6:45 pm.
“If you don’t have a ticket, don’t come. There will be no designated fan events,” added Chris May, the general manager of BC Place, during a press briefing.
May added that over 70% of ticket holders will be coming from outside the Lower Mainland, which could lead to additional traffic to and from Taylor Swift’s concerts.
The Bag Policy and Friendship Bracelet rules for the sold-out concerts have also been revealed.
