A taxi driver with Yellow Cab in Vancouver has been charged with refusing to provide a breath sample, following a crash in Vancouver on Monday night.

In an email, VPD Const. Tania Visintin told Daily Hive that the incident happened around 8:30 pm, when the taxi driver allegedly rear-ended another vehicle in the area of Cambie Street and 37th Avenue.

“Both drivers were treated by paramedics on scene and cleared of any injuries,” said Visintin. “The Yellow Cab driver was charged with Fail or Refuse to Provide a Breath Sample.”

Visintin said the VPD taxi liaison unit “is reaching out to Yellow Cab,” and the investigation is ongoing.
