Target reveals next must-have designer collaboration

Target and H&M seem to take turns with their much-anticipated designer collaborations. Like a rapid game of ping pong, it’s no surprise that Target’s newest announcement is coming hot on the heels of H&M’s latest collaboration with Alexander Wang.

It was announced Tuesday that Lilly Pulitzer will be giving Target – and the rest of us – a serious dose of sunshine with its colourful and limited-edition collection this spring. The collection will be hitting all Target stores across the U.S. and Canada and on Target.com April 19.

The 250-piece collection consists of 15 exclusive prints, which are original works of art made specifically for the collaboration. Nearly 200 of these items will be under $30. Embracing the sentiment, “style isn’t just about what you wear, it’s about how you live” the lifestyle collection includes apparel, accessories and shoes for women and girls, as well as home accents, outdoor entertaining accessories, beach gear and travel essentials. For the first time, this collection will also include plus size pieces.

Once known for her preppy style in the ’50s and ’60s, Lilly has evolved into an American resort wear icon. But it all started at a juice stand when Lilly began creating punchy printed shift dresses to masterfully hide juice stains on her clothes. Before she knew it, her customers wanted in so she started selling them right there at her juice stand. While Lilly passed away last year, her bold and optimistic brand lives on.

The collection arrives April 19, so with its timely launch we will definitely be feeling the spring fever.
