Surrey stabbing sends man to hospital with potentially "life threatening injuries"

A man is in the hospital with severe injuries after a late-night stabbing took place in Surrey.

According to an emailed statement from the Surrey RCMP, the incident took place at approximately 9:57 pm on Wednesday.

Police responded to a report of an injured male in the 7600 blocks of 128 Street.

When officers arrived, they found a man “suffering from potential life-threatening injuries.” He was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Now, police are canvassing the area and are asking for any witnesses or individuals with information about the altercation to step forward.

It has not been specified by police as to whether the incident is isolated, or whether the victim involved was known to the RCMP.
