Missing 18-year-old Surrey resident found dead in East Vancouver

Surrey RCMP’s search for a missing 18-year-old who hadn’t been seen since January 9 has sadly ended, as Sachdeep Singh Dhoot was found dead in East Vancouver yesterday afternoon.
On Thursday around 3 pm, Vancouver Police discovered a body in the trunk of a parked car in East Van, on Fairmont Street near Vanness Avenue. Today, VPD identified the teen as Vancouver’s third homicide victim of the year.
Based on information collected, investigators do not believe this was a random murder.
