Police investigating after body discovered in East Vancouver

UPDATE: Missing 18-year-old Surrey resident Sachdeep Singh Dhoot found dead in East Vancouver

Vancouver Police are investigating after discovering a body in a parked vehicle in East Van.

The body was found on Fairmont Street near Vanness Avenue, several blocks away from 29th Avenue SkyTrain Station, VPD said in a release.

Investigators have yet to release any information on the death, but VPD’s Major Crime Section are leading the investigation.

The area surrounding the incident is blocked off and there is heavy police presence on the scene.
