Metro Vancouver Superstore employee tests positive for coronavirus

A Real Canadian Superstore location in Surrey closed its doors over the weekend after an employee tested presumptive positive for COVID-19.

In a statement to Daily Hive, Loblaw Public Relations said the employee works at the 14650 104^th Avenue location.

“We are working with the local public health team and have taken a number of steps to minimize risk, including increased sanitization protocols and enforcing social distancing practices in the store,” said the company.

Additional cleaning was arranged, and the store has since reopened.

Loblaws said team members who worked closely with the employee are now at home in self-isolation and are monitoring themselves for symptoms.
