Chaotic weekend in Surrey as police investigate vehicle fires and party bus attack

Dec 8 2025, 7:29 pm

Several serious incidents in Surrey over the weekend sent two people to the hospital and have police asking the public for help in their investigations.

The first incident happened just before 1 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, when Surrey Police Service (SPS) received a 911 call from a driver who had stopped his party bus on Highway 1 eastbound just before the 192nd Street exit.

According to police, the driver reported that a number of people on his party bus were fighting.

“At the same time, another 911 call was received from a passenger on the bus advising that several people had been stabbed and that the suspect had fled the scene on foot,” said SPS in a release.

“Police arrived a short time later to find four people injured. Two were transported to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, and two more were treated on scene for minor injuries.”

A Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit (SPOSU) officer, Langley RCMP officers and the Lower Mainland Integrated Police Dog Service extensively searched the area but were not able to locate the suspect.

He is described as a white male in his 20s, approximately 6’ tall and 150 lbs, and has dirty short blonde hair. He was last seen wearing a white shirt with lemons on it and possibly a grey pair of pants.

Anyone with any information about the party bus knife incident is asked to contact the SPS non-emergency line at 604-599-0502 and quote the file number 25-66269 (SU).

A little over 24 hours later, SPS were called to assist with a vehicle fire in the 10200 block of 125th Street on Sunday, Dec. 7, at about 8:21 a.m.

Just a few minutes later, SPOSU officers responded to calls of possible shots fired outside of a residence in the 11000 block of 140A Street, and about 30 minutes after that, police attended to reports of a second vehicle fire on Regal Drive near Regent Place.

SPS announced in a statement that no one was injured in any of the Sunday morning incidents, and all three appear to be connected at this stage of the investigations.

“The motive for the shots fired, and two vehicle fires, remains under investigation, and investigators will be liaising with police partners to determine if there are any connections to other files. No extortion-related links have been made at this time.”

Police are asking anyone with information about these incidents, or anyone who may have been in the area at the time and possibly witnessed them or noticed any suspicious activity, to contact the SPS non-emergency line at 604-599-0502 and quote file numbers 25-108536 (SP), 25-108544, or 25-66420 (SU).

Anyone who has CCTV or dashcam footage is also asked to contact the authorities.
