Police in Surrey are investigating the “sudden death” of a man who was found with critical injuries on Tuesday (April 23).

According to Surrey RCMP, officers were notified by Emergency Health Services of an injured man who was reported to be “laying on the ground” in the 13300 block of 114 Avenue, around 3:16 pm.
Police and paramedics attended, and the man was transported to hospital in critical condition, but he has since died of his injuries.
Now, officials said the area surrounding the scene will be cordoned off for a significant amount of time.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has been called and will be working in partnership with Surrey RCMP, as well.
“Police are currently in the evidence gathering phase, no further information will be provided at this time,” said Surrey RCMP.
