Christmas Tree Festival at Museum of Surrey

What: Bring the family and enjoy the 25 Christmas trees at Museum of Surrey that have been custom decorated by Cloverdale businesses. Don’t forget to vote for your favourite one.

Thursday Artist Talk: Yvette Lauer, “The Art of Death”

Gingerbread Village 2019

What: The Downtown Surrey BIA’s third annual Gingerbread Village is a charity event that raises money for the Surrey Christmas Bureau. The gingerbread creations will be on display at Central City Shopping Centre near the Winners, and attendees can vote for their favourite with a cash donation to Surrey Christmas Bureau to help them support low-income families during the holiday season.

Merry Makers

Danny Bhoy

The Nutcracker

What: Royal City Youth Ballet presents Tchaikovsky’s holiday classic on December 14 and December 15 at Surrey Arts Centre. The whole family will enjoy the adventures of Clara and the Nutcracker as they encounter the Mouse King, the Sugar Plum Fairy, and more.

Winter Ice Palace

What: The 22nd Annual Winter Ice Palace turns Cloverdale Ice Arena into a winter wonderland. Enjoy festive lights, decorations, and music while making laps on the ice.

When: December 20, 2019 until January 5, 2020

The Christmas Store at Potters

What: Potters Nursery has made its annual transformation into the 28,000-sq-ft Christmas Store at Potters. Themed areas include a 3,000-sq-ft “Dark Room,” illuminated by themed tree-lights, Petland, and the Nutcracker Room, to name a few. New this year is the store’s very own Whoville, a space dedicated to a wide variety of Grinch-themed items, such as teddy bears, ornaments, mugs, and snow globes.

In addition to over 50,000 themed ornaments, toys, games, and stocking stuffers for kids, adults, and pets, the store will offer food demos and live music on weekends to liven up the Christmas atmosphere.
