Stop me if you’ve heard this before: the New England Patriots are the favourites to win the Super Bowl.

Having been to the championship game eight times in 17 years – winning on five occasions – it should probably come as no surprise that Tom Brady and the boys are once again favoured by oddsmakers.

Ahead of the start of the NFL season this week, the Patriots are the odds-on favourites, at 25-4 by BetDSI Sportsbook.

Behind New England is the team that upset them in the Super Bowl last February, the Philadelphia Eagles, at 9-1. Other teams listed among the favourites include the Los Angeles Rams (10-1), Pittsburgh Steelers (21-2), and New Orleans Saints (13-1).

The biggest long shot is the Miami Dolphins at 125-1, with the Buffalo Bills (120-1), Arizona Cardinals (115-1), and New York Jets (100-1) also given long odds.

Here’s the full list below:

The NFL season kicks off on Thursday with the defending champion Eagles welcoming the Atlanta Falcons. Most other teams will begin play on Sunday. Super Bowl LIII is scheduled for February 3 in Atlanta.

Oddsmakers like the Eagles and Saints, along with the Green Bay Packers and Los Angeles Rams, to come out on top of their respective divisions in the NFC this season. The Eagles, Saints, and Rams each won their divisions last season, while the Packers finished third.

In the AFC, the Patriots and Steelers are expected to repeat as division champions. The Jacksonville Jaguars, who won the AFC South last season after years as the league’s laughingstock, will be challenged by the Houston Texans. The Los Angeles Chargers, who narrowly missed the playoffs last season, are the favourites to win the AFC West.

At 9-2, Aaron Rodgers is the favourite to win what would be his third MVP Award. Tom Brady, who turned 41 years old last month, is also a frontrunner at 5-1.
