Smoky Tuesday sunrise in Vancouver (vancouverseattle / Instagram)

As wildfires in the BC Interior continue to burn, the resulting smoky haze continues to reach further afield.

This morning, Vancouver woke up to red, Martian-esque skies, after a shift in wind patterns sent smoky skies our way.

And while an air quality advisory has been issued as a result of the fine particulate matter in the air, those who were up for this morning’s sunrise witnessed first-hand what happens when sun and smoky haze combine.
