Environment Canada is forecasting sunshine and warm temperatures in Metro Vancouver, with temperature gauges expected to reach 21°C by the water and warmer inland.

Temperatures in the region will continue to hover at highs of around 20°C in the daytime until the middle of next week due to the development of a strong ridge of high pressure.
Over in the Fraser Valley and Squamish, highs of 26°C can be expected over the weekend while temperatures in Whistler could hit a balmy 27°C.
