Street Food City cancels food truck festival from January 17 to 19

As if we needed another thing to be upset about this week.

The first few dates of downtown Vancouver’s highly anticipated food truck festival have been cancelled due to inclement weather.

Street Food City — one of the highlights of Vancouver’s Dine Out festival — will be cancelling its previously announced January 17, 18, and 19 event dates, so don’t show up hungry.

Event organizers plan to run Street Food City as usual during its other dates: January 31 and February 1 to 6.

Now in its ninth year, the food truck extravaganza will take place on select dates from January 17 to February 6, where foodies can find a rotating selection of purveyors outside the Vancouver Art Gallery, in šxʷƛ̓ənəq Xwtl’e7énk Square, on the north side of the building.

Last year the festival featured more than 20 awesome food trucks and carts, so it’s a good thing entry is FREE this year, leaving you more cash to spend on some epic eats.

The festival will be open Monday to Friday from 11 am to 3 pm and Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm once it kicks off, so be sure to mark your calendar and head to this delicious destination while you can.
