Staff coronavirus infection temporarily closes Kitsilano fitness studio
An employee of the TurF fitness studio in Kitsilano has tested positive for COVID-19, prompting the temporary closure of the location.
According to a release, the business learned on Saturday that one of the staff at its 2041 W 4th Avenue studio had contracted coronavirus.

The business has says it has chosen to close while it follows the guidance of BC Public Health and the CDC to ensure the facility is safe for staff and guests when they return.
“While not required, we’re voluntarily closing all TurF locations to protect the safety of our community and will re-open once we’ve taken all precautions,” TurF said in their statement. “All in-studio classes will be cancelled and moving to a digital schedule.
A schedule for those classes will be released soon, and the business says it is reaching out to its members shortly with an update on their memberships.
