Daily Hive got the invite and got the sneak peek at Woods’ first line of premium outdoor, street-wise apparel, which is available at Sport Chek stores now.

Warm vibes filled the space with everything from perfectly placed sweet delights, to handcrafted cocktails and entertainment….

But one thing took focus – dreamy and ultra-cozy Woods parkas. And it’s no surprise given that Woods is the brand that invented the parka!

This collection launch is huge news since Woods has been enabling and inspiring the spirit and legacy of Canadian adventure since 1885. Its roots stem back to the Ottawa Valley with James W. Woods – the man who outfitted lumbermen with canvas supplies.

So the brand has a lot of history.

In fact, during the Klondike Gold Rush in 1896, many pioneers depended on the brand for survival in one of the country’s harshest winters. And they were even used to outfit the Canadian Arctic Expeditions from 1913 to 1918.

The Woods legacy of exploration continues to drive its designers to create innovative solutions that can handle and perform insanely well in the cold Canadian climate. A hundred years later, the Woods 2018 collection now uses world-class technologies like Sympatex, waterproof/breathable membranes, DownTek Water Resistant Down, Polartec and Cordura fabrics, as well as Cohaesive Cordlock Management.
