Burger King is telling people to go eat at McDonald's

The ongoing pandemic is bringing together two arch-rivals.

A giant yellow arch rival, that is.

Burger King’s UK branch shared a whopper of a statement across its social channels on Monday, asking customers to support other local fast food establishments during the country’s second lockdown.

The UK’s hospitality industry is continuing to get hit hard by COVID-19 restrictions, as new limitations are closing all restaurants — except takeout and delivery — in an attempt to stabilize increasing virus cases.

Burger King’s statement encourages foodies to order from KFC, Pizza Hut, Subway, Papa John’s, along with other independent food outlets.

“We know, we never thought we’d be saying this either,” reads the UK BK’s Instagram caption, but desperate times call for desperate measures.

“Getting a Whopper is always best, but ordering a Big Mac is also not such a bad thing,” concluded the statement.

Needless to say, I’m lovin’ it.
