Vancouver gets its first snowfall of the season (PHOTOS, VIDEO)

You knew it was bound to happen sooner or later, and today Vancouver received its first snowfall of the season.

The falling flakes are expected to last throughout the day, prompting Environment Canada to issue a special weather alert for the region.

In the meantime, Vancouverites have wasted no time in sharing their snowy shots of the city.
