It’s the first full day back at work in the new year, and 2021 is trying its best to give you one extra day off.
The essential office communication tool, Slack, went down abruptly this morning and businesses around the virtual world have ground to a halt.
The Vancouver founded communications platform says, “Customers may have trouble connecting or using Slack.” As of 11:20 am ET, the company said it is reporting issues with connecting to the service and messaging.

Users began reporting issues at around 10 am ET, and it is currently unclear how long the outage will go on for.
Professionals flocked to Twitter to get their daily dose of GIFs and memes, and reactions have been quite fitting considering the majority of the world is currently working remotely.
