Vancouver SkyTrain Halloween Party 2015: Annual celebration returns for its 10th year

Dec 20 2017, 2:11 am

Vancouver’s most mobile Halloween celebration is back for its tenth year!

Yes the Vancouver Halloween SkyTrain Party returns this weekend, so grab your friends, your favourite halloween attire and most importantly your transit ticket; and head on down to the Canada Line for a public transit ride like you’ve never experienced before.

Presented by the Vancouver Public Space Network, the SkyTrain Halloween Party is a decentralized community public space event, featuring costumes, candy, and even a live DJ all across Vancouver’s light rail system.

The night of transit terror will begin at Waterfront SkyTrain Station at 8 p.m. on October 31 where attendees will board the train as one big happy Halloween party. From there the spooktacular SkyTrain ride will travel to Richmond and back, before rail-riding revellers disembark to enjoy the after party festivities at the soon-to-be dismantled Seymour & Hastings Dome.

You can visit the VPSN website for important information, but a few guidelines from the event page include:

  • Arrive at 8 p.m. sharp
  • Please buy a ticket or bring your pass, to ensure TransLink will allow future parties
  • Be careful around all stops and when travelling between train cars
  • Since the train will be stopping along the way, be respectful to fellow passengers and invite them to join the fun
  • The organizers ask that attendees respect TransLink staff and give them a high five to thank them for all their hard work

Keep an eye on the official event page for more information as it becomes available.
