UPDATE at 8:50 pm: TransLink says the medical emergency that caused service disruptions is now cleared and regular service is resuming. The bus bridge will continue until 9 pm.

UPDATE at 8:12 pm: TransLink is setting up a bus bridge shuttle service between Main Street-Science World Station and Waterfront Station to help manage the crowds. This is in addition to the shuttle train service.

ORIGINAL STORY:

SkyTrain’s Expo Line is experiencing service disruptions this evening due to a medical emergency at Stadium-Chinatown Station. The delays began at about 7 pm.

TransLink says all passengers on the Expo Line must transfer trains at Main Street-Science World Station; trains are not stopping at Stadium-Chinatown Station, which is currently closed.

Passengers travelling through downtown Vancouver are urged to expect delays.

Services on the Millennium Line and Canada Line are unaffected and running normally. TransLink has deployed additional security and police at the stations to ensure passenger safety and crowd control.
