UPDATED: Expo Line's Waterfront Station shut down due to medical emergency

Jul 11 2018, 11:02 am

UPDATED: The station reopened this morning.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Trains are not serving SkyTrain’s Expo Line platforms at Waterfront Station at this time.

TransLink says this portion of Waterfront Station has been closed due to a medical emergency, and as a result there are severe disruptions.

However, the Canada Line platforms and SeaBus terminal at the station are still accessible, and the Millennium Line is unaffected.

The public transit authority is asking passengers to use other Expo Line stations in downtown Vancouver; Burrard Station, Granville Station, and Stadium-Chinatown Station are still open.

The disruption began shortly after 8 pm. There is no estimated time for its resolution.

More on this as it develops…
