New Singaporean eatery ‘Shiok’ is slated to open in Vancouver soon, and we are counting down until it does.

Located at 1716 Kingsway, Shiok is set to open soon and has a goal of transplanting “a little bit of Singapore into Vancouver.”
The small but mighty looking menu features snacks like crispy deep fried prawn-spiced chicken wings, beef or chicken skewers served in peanut sauce, and nonya spiced pickles to name a few.

Mains include the traditional Singaporean take on Hainanese chicken rice, Boneless Chicken Rice, and Singapore’s famous curry noodles, Laksa.
Deep fried banana is on the menu for desserts, along with a selection of Singaporean coffee or tea beverages.
There is no official opening date for Shiok yet, but we’ll keep you posted as details are released.
