Have you ever wondered if buying designer shoes for charity was a thing? Well, thanks to John Fluevog and the Carousel Theatre for Young People, it is now!

On Wednesday, November 5, Fluevog’s Gastown location (65 Water Street) will be turned into a ticketed shopping event and gala fundraiser for the Carousel Theatre for Young People (CTYP). For one night only, 50% of all proceeds of all sales at that location will be donated to the Theatre.

Event co-organizer Danielle Lemon, a prominent Vancouver lawyer and seasoned theatre performer, confirmed to us that the event was spearheaded when John Fluevog Shoes contacted CTYP artistic director Carole Higgins with the idea. This is the first time they’ve collaborated, and they’re hoping to raise $5,000 in support of CYTP.

The event will be a catered affair hosted by Love It Or List It Vancouver’s Todd Talbot. Nuba will not only co-sponsor the event, they will also be catering some of their famed nibbles for the event. Admission will get ticketholders one complimentary drink, and there will be a cash bar on-site.

There will be door prizes for early ticket buyers who get their tickets by October 31. As an added bonus, Fluevog will actually preview some of their spring / summer 2015 collection at the event.

Tickets are now available through CTYP’s website. Tickets are $5 in advance or $10 at the door. Tickets are also available over the phone by contacting CYTP directly at 604-669-3410. Find more info at their Facebook event page.
