Jun 8 2020, 5:10 pm

One of the North Shore’s most popular local summer celebrations, the Shipyards Night Market, has officially cancelled its 2020 season due to the pandemic.

The announcement was published over the weekend. In it, market organizers said they will be looking forward to the 2021 season.

“The health and safety of our vendors, staff and patrons will always be our top priority and suspending the market this season will lower the risk of exposure and spread of COVID-19 in our community,” reads the statement.

The market is known for featuring over 120 vendors including some of the Lower Mainland’s best food trucks, a beer garden, and live music.
