Vancouver's new Singaporean eatery 'Shiok' is opening May 31

There a new Singaporean eatery opening in Vancouver, and soon at that.
‘Shiok’ is slated to soft open May 31, when it will be open from 11 am to 8 pm (or until they run out of food).
The new establishment will continue to operate between these hours during its opening time, and it will be closed on Sunday and Monday.

Located at 1716 Kingsway, Shiok is set to open soon and has a goal of transplanting “a little bit of Singapore into Vancouver.”
The small but mighty looking menu features snacks like crispy deep fried prawn-spiced chicken wings, beef or chicken skewers served in peanut sauce, and nonya spiced pickles to name a few.

Mains include the traditional Singaporean take on Hainanese chicken rice, Boneless Chicken Rice, and Singapore’s famous curry noodles, Laksa.
Deep fried banana is on the menu for desserts, along with a selection of Singaporean coffee and tea beverages.
