Sensual Suds: 3rd Annual Beerlesque Fest

Dec 19 2017, 4:19 pm

Craft beer and risque burlesque dancing come together once again for the third annual Burlesque Fest on Friday, September 20 at the Yaletown Roundhouse Community Centre.

The annual fundraising event, hosted by Vancouver Craft Beer Week, pairs decadent craft beer with the sensual stylings of some of Vancouver’s best corset laced entertainers. Over 15 craft breweries have been tapped for the event including Lighthouse, Red Truck, Russell, Driftwood, Phillips, Fernie, Steamworks, Deep Cove, Vancouver Island, Storm, Hoyne, Central City, Parallel 49 and Steam Whistle.

Drinkers will be treated to a pair of shows put on by The Danger Thrill Show featuring Neil E. Dee, Rebel Valentine, Lola Frost, Burgundy Brixx, Callio p cock, Lydia DeCarllo and Nicky Ninedoor. On top of the regular entertainment, local craft brewers will be participating in a “brewers drag show”, so expect to see Camra Vancouver President Adam Chatburn, VanBrewers Scott Butchart, Deep Cove Brewers + Distillers head brewer Kevin Emms and the legendary James Walton of Storm Brewing all dolled up!

Proceeds from the event go directly to support the Roundhouse Community Centre. Since it opened in 1997, the Centre has offered programming that reflects the changing needs of its patrons. Many programs are fully subsidized or low cost. The Roundhouse funds innovative programming to stimulate community engagement, works in partnerships with local arts and community groups, and provides support for cultural initiatives.

Beerlesque runs from 6 to 11 p.m. Tickets to the event are $55+ and include beer, raffledraw, door prizes and access to either the 7 p.m. or 9 p.m. show. Tickets can be bought at www.beerlesque3.eventbrite.com or by calling the Roundhouse front desk at 604-713-1800.
