February 8, 2026, was a marvelous day for many Vancouver-based NFL fans.
On that day, the Seattle Seahawks completed one of the most stunning Super Bowl victories of all time, beating the New England Patriots 29-13.
Heading into the 2025 season, the Seahawks had the 18th-best odds of winning the Super Bowl. They also had longer odds than anyone in their division.
Now, they’re the defending champs, and the team is sending the Vince Lombardi Trophy up north to Vancouver for fans to see.

NFL Canada is bringing the “NFL Experience” to the PNE for the first time ever, on Aug. 22 and 23.Ā PNE attendees who want to check it out will get to experience an interactive football theme park, an immersive video experience, and interactive games like quarterback toss.
The Lombardi Trophy will also be on display, where fans can get a photo with it.
While no Seahawks players are attending, Seattle cheerleaders will be there, along with the team’s official mascot, Blitz.
“At the centre of the experience is a one-of-a-kind, immersive video environment built to put fans inside NFL game action instead of just watching it from the stands,” NFL Canada announced in a press release. “Fans walk through a tunnel entry and into a curated film that brings together highlights, iconic moments and previously unseen footage on a scale meant to make every seat in the room feel like the best one.”
Back in 2014, Seahawks players actually did take a trip up to Vancouver with the Lombardi Trophy, after winning Super Bowl XLVIII.
“It feels good to come up here and give back, because we have a great fan base here,” former Seahawks linebacker Bruce Irvin said at the time.
However, that trip took place in early July, while the current Seahawks are in the midst of training camp and preseason as they gear up to defend their title.
And regardless, it’s not every day that Vancouver-based Seahawks fans get a chance to celebrate a Super Bowl victory.
“Canadian fans have shown us again and again how much they love this game, and this is
our chance to bring that energy to life at one of Western Canadaās biggest summer
gathering spots,” said NFL Canada general manager Gavin Kemp. “The PNE is where
Vancouver comes together every year, and we wanted the NFL to be part of that moment.”
