If you’re planning on taking the Sea to Sky Highway over the next 24 hours, be sure to travel with caution.
Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the following areas:
- Sea to Sky – Squamish to Whistler
- Whistler
Snowfall with total amounts of up to 20 cm is expected.

The mid-week flurries are the result of a Pacific low-pressure system that’s expected to cross the area later tonight.
Fortunately, the system isn’t expected to last long and the snow will likely end early Wednesday morning.
Those making the trip are reminded to prepare adequately and drive for changing road conditions — visibility may also be reduced at times of heavy snow.
For anyone who’s already enjoying the Whistler mountains, look forward to some fresh powder for tomorrow morning.
