Sea to Sky Gondola implements mask policy for visitors

The Sea to Sky Gondola is making masks mandatory for visitors to combat the spread of COVID-19.
The Squamish attraction’s new masks/face covering policy will come into effect on Friday, September 4.
According to the Sea to Sky Gondola’s website, non-medical masks/face coverings should be worn “in all common areas at the Sea to Sky Gondola including the base buildings, lift lines, gondola cabins, summit lodge, suspension bridge, and backyard plaza.”

Masks can be removed in the restaurant when seated at a table, or while walking and hiking on trails when proper physical distancing can be maintained.
Other exceptions for the mask policy include:

- Children under 5 years of age
- Medical condition or disability that inhibits the ability to wear a mask
- Persons unable to place or remove a mask without assistance
- Sea to Sky Gondola employees working behind a physical barrier or within employee-only areas provided physical distancing is maintained
