"Rugged Maniac" obstacle race coming to Vancouver for a good cause

“Rugged Maniac,” a five kilometre obstacle course, is coming to Metro Vancouver and part of the proceeds will go towards the Canucks For Kids Fund.

Runners will jump over fire, crawl through underground tunnels, rocket down a 50 foot water slide, and bounce on trampolines as they make their way in, over, and through the five kilometre layout at Cloverdale Fairgrounds in the heart of Surrey.

One dollar from each registration fee will go towards the Canucks For Kids Fund. If you register online at www.ruggedmaniac.com/events/vancouver/, you can get $10 off the registration fee by using the code CANUCKS.

If you are not the type of person to crawl in the mud, it is free to watch and has plenty of entertainment including music, mechanical bulls, grown-up bounce houses, beer, food, and exhibition booths.

“Rugged Maniac” CEO Brad Scudder recently appeared on the American show “Shark Tank” and caught the eye of famed businessman and billionaire Mark Cuban, securing a 25% ownership and $1.75 million investment.
