Roots to expand Vancouver presence with new Pacific Centre store

Iconic Canadian retailer Roots will be opening a new store within Pacific Centre shopping mall in downtown Vancouver.

The store will occupy a 3,800-sq-ft unit located between Coach and Little Burgundy, a spokesperson for the company told Daily Hive.

It is a significant store opening as the new location will be nearly the same size as Roots’ recently renovated and expanded flagship store at the corner of Burrard and Robson streets.

Like its other stores, the new Pacific Centre location will reflect the company’s heritage with design details such as a hand-made Canadian canoe in the rafters and decorative paddles made by a Canadian artist.

There will also be custom celebrity jackets on display and other artifacts from the Roots archive.

The store is scheduled to open on November 9.

Roots has 12 locations within the Metro Vancouver region, including a secondary Robson Street store on the 1100 block and a store on West 4th Avenue.
