Dec 19 2017, 7:19 pm

On Saturday, July 19 from noon to 4 p.m., Robson Street is hosting its first ever Robson Summer Fest and everyone is invited.

The sidewalks from Burrard to Jervis will be packed with music, entertainment, treats and giveaways, including the Z95.3 Street Team, Harrison Lee the Yoyo kid, Double Ropes Caravan, a double dutch team from Japan, Chalk Chick who will create a temporary masterpiece on the street and local homemade organic popsicle maker Johnny’s Pops.

The businesses are getting involved too by offering special in-store or on-street promotions, like sales, refreshments, samples and DJ’s. Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Roots, J.Crew, Starbucks, Cupcakes, Plenty, Gap, CB2 and Joe Fresh are just some of the shops participating. Picnic benches will be arranged on Bute Street for people to relax, in addition to the Pop-Up Picnic area at 1100 Robson Street.

“Summer is our favourite time of year on Robson Street and we want to host an event to celebrate the season, as well as our loyal shoppers and visitors…give back a little,” said Teri Smith, Executive Director of the Robson Street Business Association.
