There's another closure of the stal̕əw̓asəm Bridge happening this weekend

Yet another closure of the stal̕əw̓asəm Bridge will take place this weekend, but this time it’s a full closure.
Daily Hive Urbanized just reported on a partial closure that took place last weekend.
For that closure, the southbound lanes of the bridge were maintained. Fraser Crossing Constructors (FCGP) said that drivers who were travelling northbound are encouraged to take the Port Mann or Alex Fraser Bridge instead.
That’s still the advice FCGP is suggesting for this weekend’s upcoming closure, but this time the closure is in both directions. The closure begins on Friday, May 29, at 9 p.m. and will last till Monday, June 1, at approximately 5 a.m.
The reason for the closure is so crews can “complete installation of the multi-use path overpass superstructure over the Bridge Connector and Royal Avenue on-ramp in New Westminster.”
“Crews will also complete top lift paving of the multi-use path on the east side of the bridge, and milling and paving of King George Boulevard from the overspan on Scott Road to Bridgeview Drive,” FCGP says.
N19 NightBus trips will be rerouted over the Queensborough and Alex Fraser bridges. Access to businesses in downtown New West, as well as King George Boulevard in Surrey, will be maintained.
“All traffic pattern changes will be well signed, and traffic control personnel will be on site to assist as required,” FCGP adds.
FCGP encourages drivers to keep track of information related to bridge traffic via DriveBC.ca.
