Aberdeen Centre’s Chinese New Year Flower & Gift Fair

  • What: Ring in the Year of the Dog and stock up your supplies at this annual Chinese New Year Flower & Gift Fair. Featuring booths specializing in Chinese New Year-themed decorations, traditional snacks, sweets and foods, gifts, toys, fresh flowers and plants, and more.

Family Day at West Richmond Community Centre

  • What: Bring your family and fuel up with a free pancake breakfast, arts and crafts and family style games.

Family Fun Days at the Nature Park

  • What: Visit Richmond Nature Park for adventurous family fun. Explore the bog through special scavenger hunts, then stop by the Woodland photo booth. Choose a wacky animal prop, snap a family portrait and create a take-home twig picture frame.

2018 Children’s Arts Festival

  • What: Kids under 12 can immerse themselves in a wide range of hands-on workshops led by professional artists and performers. Dance the day away with the Big Easy Funk Ensemble, get down with the Blues Berries, be amazed with the ever-popular Magic 2 Go, get your sillies out with Tickle Me Pickle and create your way through the many kid-inspired Imagination Stations.

Salt-Water Moon

  • What: A bold, lyrical interpretation of David French’s classic Canadian play. A Factory Theatre production touring with Why Not Theatre, directed by Ravi Jain.

Guided Tour at Lulu Island Winery

  • What: Learn the process of winemaking from harvesting to crushing to bottling.  Complete the tour with wine tasting, including famous Canadian ice wine, with soft cheese and fruits to pair with. Lastly, bring home a little gift to share with friends and family.

Steveston Folk Guild Presents Jana Seale

  • What: West Coast acoustic guitarist and vocalist Jana Seale has mesmerized audiences from all over the world with her unique and gentle style. Jana reinterprets folk, country and singer/songwriter favourites covering decades from the ’60s to modern times.

The Blossoming of Mongolia Flower Wulan Tuya

  • What: Wulan Tuya, also known as the “Flower of Mongolia” is a Mongol Chinese singer from Inner Mongolia, China. Her music incorporates elements of Mongolian traditional music, such as the morin khuur, and modernized by electronic beats.
