Vine and Hops Wine and Craft Beer Tours is hosting its fourth annual Real Men Real Makeup Amateur Drag Show to raise awareness and funds for local grassroots initiatives working with impoverished communities providing support, resources and education.
Vine and Hops Wine and Craft Beer Tours presents Real Men Real Makeup, a grassroots organization started by a community of young Vancouverites volunteering their time and skills to create change from the bottom up. The annual drag show features amateur comedic performances put on by Vancouver men willing to step out of their comfort zone to foster positive change here at home and abroad. This year will feature local craft beer sponsors in support of the cause.

Each year Real Men Real Makeup showcases two charities, one local and one international, to support. This year they have chosen two local charities. The first partner is City Reach Care Society, who use funding for their Food for Families project and Personal growth workshop. The second is Quest Food Exchange who help to “reduce hunger with dignity.” They help families with fixed low incomes, people living with restrictive health conditions and/or disabilities, and the homeless.
Their mission is to work together to provide global relief and long-term assistance in order to build and sustain healthy and empowered communities. In their first three years, Real Men Real Makeup raised over $25,000, enabling access for families and children to education and food. Real Men Real Makeup in the past has partnered up with organizations such as My Small Help, Africa Yoga Project and City Reach Care Society who have all done great work around the world, as well as locally.
